Theme doesn’t require it. Some clients use it for video thumbnails generator and as far as I know there is no other such service for free.
dark theme doesn’t work with youzify
It never worked since youzify doesn’t offer dark mode color scheme, the dark icon on the youzify demo was enabled recently by mistake and it was disabled now – https://diaboliquedesign.com/demo/onecommunity-youzer/ If you clicked this icon before purchase you should see the dark scheme was broken.
